Chemistry reactant

Does anybody know how to find the amount of each reactant used when only given the product.

This is one of the Q’s:
A compound of nitrogen, and oxygen ,A, was formed by reacting 20 cm³ of nitrogen gas with 10 cm³ of oxygen.Write an equation for this reaction

I know the product formulae is N2O3

If you're just writing a chemical equation, you know that nitrogen gas exists as N2 and oxygen gas exists as O2 and then you know your product is N2O3

N2 + O2 -> N2O3

So then you just need to balance the equation:

N2 + 1.5O2 -> N2O3
or
2N2 + 3O2 -> 2N2O3
