A level psychology help

I have a question about evaluating studies. When talking about the sample, does it fit best with internal validity, external validity, or generalizability?

I was thinking maybe it's about internal validity because a diverse sample size ensures that individual differences do not skew the results, external validity because it's about whether the study's findings can apply to people outside the original sample and generalisability because it's about the sample - however my teacher mentioned that having a diverse sample doesn't always mean high generalisability (I'm not sure why that is though)

Can someone please clarify this ?
