Best note taking app on mac?

Best note taking app on mac?

I just started using OneNote and from tutorials it seems like mac is missing some features such as being able to change the page format (Let me know if this is possible). I am a physics student and I'm also finding it hard to include some symbols e.g. alpha, lambda, epsilon. I also like to include diagrams and flow charts in my notes. Anyone know a better/the best note taking app for mac?
