school counselling

Hi,
i’m starting college in september and know that the school has a good mental health counselling programme. i do suffer with anxiety but i don’t know if using school counselling will be helpful, and i think i’d feel guilty using it if someone else wanted to use that time. in no ways am i happy with my mental health, but i don’t really think it’s bad enough that i should be prioritised over someone else. should i still use the resources?

Why not enquire about it and find out if you'd be suitable? It's great that you're being proactive about your mental health - much better to get help early on then risk it getting worse. If they only take people in crisis then it might not be suitable for you - but it doesn't sound that way so why not speak to them. You deserve help too so don't feel guilty.
