RVC timetable

Does anyone have an example of RVC first year timetable?
Another question, how often do you guys do practicals like animal handling skills? I heard that RVC doesn’t have as much as other schools for the first years.

Hi! I'm a current first-year at RVC. For the timetable, we usually start at 9 or 10 and finish at 3 or 4. We don't have 9-5s very often. When we do we have a gap in between which is great for studying and catching up on lectures.
In terms of animal handling, I don't know what the other schools do, but we have practicals during reading week usually which is twice a term!
If you have any other questions don't hesitate to PM me.

This was a question I asked students during campus tours and interview day... the consensus was that lectures are not compulsory attendance, but practicals are. One student encouraged the prospect of staying home to watch lectures online. If my application is successful, this will be my plan as I live commutable distance from both campus'.

Hi, I’m currently holding a deferral entry for 2025 as I wasn’t able to enter in 2024 due to personal circumstances. It was never a clear answer if we’re required to be in 5 times a week. As I live an hour away from the campus this would be very convenient to study at home for lectures.

Oooh, exciting!! I'm still waiting to hear. It's sooo nerve wracking.

Wednesdays are a half day due to sports & socials... but I am planning on watching lectures online and travelling into campus when necessary 🙃

I can promise you that you'll be fine. For the support I received already and haven't been yet fully a student there I can now tell you that you'll be really cared for. 🙂
