revision techniques

I have my second set of mocks coming in about a week and I cannot revise properly, the moment I recieve information it flows back out of my head. I hate making notes and flashcards- because they are a waste of time and past papers I cannot print out. What should I do in order for a effective recall?

this is what i do
read it once
try to remember it and say it out loud - ofc u will miss bits but still
then write it down without looking - use red pen to write missed points
do the writing bit until no red is left
this works well for me if u wanna cram
