Birmingham vs St Andrews for maths/physics

I have received offers from Birmingham for applied mathematics and theoretical physics (Msci) for A*A*A and St Andrews for maths and physics joint honours (masters) for AAA. I want to study in an academically rigorous environment and hope to do masters and phd. The course at Birmingham will allow me to specialise a lot more early on and do research as an undergraduate. However, I am worried that since it is less prestigious than St Andrews and Durham which I have been accepted to idk if it is the right choice to firm. My teachers have suggested me to choose St Andrews but does anyone know how the course is like?

the course will be pretty equally rigorous across all 3 unis as all will be 'degree level' physics so i would pick Birmingham for you
