As much as you wanna go on about it, the majority of the people in this country ARE working class and so their stereotypes of tories are relevant!

Viena i know exactly what you are trying to get at, but at the end of the day you arent gonna change any viewpoints! No matter what they do, the Tories will always have that stereotype ... and it is TRUE!

That stereotype will live for them as long as the party does. The Lib Dems are gonna be the next oposition, only because the average working class voter hates lbour, hates the tories and cant think of anyone else to vote for.

By the way, I would never vote Tory - no matter how loaded i get in the future.

I can stereotype a Labour voter:

Lives in Liverpool
Is a dock-worker
Eats coal for tea
Main social gathering point is a pub
Reads the Socialist worker
Has no real education
Has an impossible to understand accent
Has an incredibly large family
Refers to family members of 'Our kid'
Blames other people for his lack of money
Has a very narrow view of politics; does not understand all the concepts fully.

To balance it out;

Lives in Royal Huntingdon
Is a socialite
Eats money for tea
Main social gathering point is a cigar room
Reads the Express
Has an education, but is stupid.
Has an impossible to understand accent (what with all the snorting)
Married to his/her cousin
Doesn't refer to family members. Uses "one".
Never worked a day for his/her money.
Thinks he/she has a broad view of politics, but is mistaken.

im not denying it. im saying that the majority of criticism here is with that image only, not actually anything to do with the policies or ideals of the supporters.

I was going to put the Mail, but then I remembered how the Express is always banging on about asylum seekers: a Tory must.

No, seriously, nowdays the majority of people are not classed as working class, they work for a living, granted, but the majority are regarded as middle class, officially anyway.

i am classed as Tory when in fact i do wander between nationalism and have a certain soft spot for liberatarians. i wouldnt actually class myself as a conservative in ideological terms.

Although I dont agree with how some foreigners are taking advantage of our benefits and healthcare systems, I wouldnt verge on nationalism. That is very WWII.

Join the BNP, they are the most credible nationaist party you could ever get .. and thats saying sumthing about nationalist policies.

Unregistered, you completely ignore any contradictory posts such as mine stating the Sun is a Tory paper and you keep insisting the majority of the country is working class.

Yeah Ive read the BNP's website. It is SHOCKING! Calling the Liberal Democrats the 'party of paedophiles' ...

My point is that they claim to have the power to swing elections (i.e. their “Would the last person in Britain please turn the lights out” front page). I personally don’t think they have this power. If you think that the Sun will decide the next election you obviously have a very low opinion of the British population.
