Cambridge MPhil Education 24-25

Hi, is there anyone who was offered a place for MPhil Education?

I am in the EGID strand and was offered a membership at Hughes Hall. Looking forward to chat about the programme and colleges.

Congratulations to everyone who got in!

Congratulations! Well done for securing a place:smile: I will be doing Critical Approaches to Children's Literature. My background is in modern and contemporary literature (postgrad at St Andrews, and now very excited to focus on education at Cambridge). Most likely Homerton College here. Traveling to Cambridge form Norway in September🙂

Congratulations! Did you have to do an interview about the feasibility of part-time study? If so what was it like?

I have received an email that said "The purpose of the interview is to assess suitability for part-time study which is a requirement set by Post Graduate Admissions at the University of Cambridge. The interviewer will go through the attendance requirement for the course and discuss any visa requirements (if applicable). During the interview, the structure and organisation of the course will be explained, and you will be able to discuss your own application as well as any queries you may have."

How worried should I be?

Did you do the interview? Mine was extremely informal, they were not assessing my knowledge or academic suitability. I was all about my time commitments and travel arrangements. I do think I was beneficial that I mentioned some of the researchers who I was interested in working with and why though.

Yeah, it felt fairly informal. There was one question which made me think on my feet a bit, and I always have the feeling after interviews that I could have answered things better or differently. My application is currently on Decision Pending so I gather it went well enough!
