The last question on the stats paper is exponential decay with some poisson.

Last question on Mechanics paper is a ladder question show that some trig functions equal something else

Question 2 on mechanics multiple choice involves calculating the EPE of an extended spring

Question 4 on Stats paper is poisson hypothesis test and question 6 is integration to find E(x) and Var(x). Then question 7 I believe is a big chi squared.

Oh and on Mechanics question 4 is about impulse/momentum and question 3 is dimensional analysis.

If you can do verticle circular motion then you will find question 7 on mechanics easy. Just remember to consider energy for question 5 and then for question 6 remember that restitution is perpendicular to the wall.

Question 1 on Stats is easy, just plug in the x values for the distribution. Question 2, remember your type 1 and 2 errors and you're fine!

There were a few odd questions but on the whole I thought it was really good

Did anyone get 2+2sqrt(3) inside the brackets for the last mechanics question? It said it was meant to be 2+3sqrt(3)….

OMG BEST PAPER I HAD SEEN SO FAR! Besides failing easiest proof question, that probability = 0.75, stupid formula book:smile:

I did! I just hope I get at least 2 marks on that question.
Apparently you're meant to equate 1/2mU^2= GPE at C +KE at C

Oh :frown: yeah the rope is slack, so still have KE but weight is greater than centripetal force… hopefully still get most of marks though!

What did we get for the minimum completion time for the last discrete question. Think I got 96 days

What did people get for their test statistic for the contingency tables questions, I remember getting a number that was quite a bit bigger than the critical value
