They are more competitive than undergrad medicine so you would need very very good grades.

Yeh and a lot is based on work experience which at the moment I have plenty of and have 4yrs to add to, What sort of things would I need do you think to stand out from the crowd? Are you doing medicine and if so how did you do it?

Nope not doing medicine but I know someone who got onto postgrad medicine and he constantly moans about how competitive it was.
He did a science degree at Warwick and got a first, not sure where hes doing his postgrad though.
I know he did work at a hospital for some time but not sure what he did.

I'm hoping to get volunteer work at my local NHS hospital over the summer holidays when I'm not at uni, and I've been helping out at a supervised consumption centre for drug addicts, plus all the physio work exp I did should I choose to go down that road. I want to do someting valueable with my life, not just sit behind a desk pushing paper around
