Hey everyone! I’m applying to Robert Gordon, Queen Margaret, and Glasgow cali, bcu and uwe! I’m Irish so I am doing the leaving certificate and study bio, chem, spanish, home ec, maths, english, and irish. I have volunteered with a summer camp for teenagers with autism and down syndrome and have visited my local hospital (small, ct, ultrasound, xray) for one day.
Hi, I'm thinking of applying to the University of Salford, Leeds and Bradford so far as they are the closest to home and I don't really want to move out.
I'm studying the BTEC National Diploma in Applied Science and an A-level in Psychology.
I've done some volunteering at a local infirmary in their urgent treatment centre, I still need to get some shadowing experience in a radiology department, however I'm planning to do that in the half-term maybe.
I was wondering whether I would have to do some extra reading on like the actual anatomy and physiology side of radiography before uni starts and whether they ask you about any of that in the interviews? Or is it just general questions about why and what inspired us to do the courses and that.
And also like, is there any assessments that we have to do to actually get in?? My friends are doing some healthcare courses and they do an assessment in the beginning of their uni year and I was wondering whether its the same for radiography???

Interviews are more likely to focus on your understanding of the role (so this is where shadowing experience is good), why you want to study DR, how you have dealt with the public in your work/volunteering experience, and then they might ask you how you would deal with certain scenarios in the workplace. For example, what would you do if you witness bullying between other staff members, etc. Learn the NHS values and 6 Cs and try to tie them into your responses:
As for assessments at the start of uni, I've not heard of that. Once your place is confirmed after results day, your uni might give you a reading list to do some preparation.
Hii, i‘ve applied to Salford, Leeds, BCU, Cardiff and Sheffield Hallam. I’m doing the btec extended diploma in applied science. Extra curricular wise I have done a 3 day placement in a care home, I tried to find some work experience in a radiography department but that didn’t work out (hopefully that doesn’t affect my application too much). I also have a part time job in a post office. Also I was wondering when’s the earliest offers(and interviews) will be made? Also what are the interviews like?? I’m actually very nervous for that part I’m so bad under pressure 😭
Hi , im going to be applying with BBD however the required grades are BBB. I’ve got Maths b biology B and physics D do you recommend for me to apply to foundation years too?
