does anyone else have to pay to get their diploma? our school claims that the ib asks for 150 euros for each diploma. 150 euros FOR A PIECE OF PAPER

Nope, I don't have to pay for mine, I'm guessing the school does though. I've just sent mine off to be reissued as well, as one of my grades went up. I don't get it..why don't they just send the certificates after everyones finished remarking etc!?

to make you guys feel better, i'm in the "average" range...

Country: Croatia

Croatian A1 HL - 7
English A2 HL - 6 (wtf i KNOW i rocked that one)
Visual Arts HL - 6
Economics HL - 4 (shouldn't have watched 2 seasons of Pushing Daisies on the net the night before the exam)
Maths SL - 4 (hell yeah!)
Biology SL - 6

EE - English A2 - B
ToK - B

Overall: 35

Offer: 34 with 555 at HL at University of Edinburgh - History of Art with English Literature

I've got a question, though. I've got 4 HLs, and a 555 conditional. Out those four, one is 4 as you see, and the other three are 766. What does that do for my offer? I'm sort of worried about that one.

Hey umm Alice... why'd you do 4 HL
Guys, I got my new component grades for my Maths HL, which was remarked from 6 to 7.

Old component grades:
P1: 92/120 = 76.7% = 7
P2: 72/120 = 60% = 6
P3: 48/60 = 80% = 7
IA: 30/40 (scaled down from 36) =6
This gave me exactly 72/100.

New component grades:
P1: 102/120 = 85% = 7
P2: 71/120 = 59.2% = 7 (how the...?)
P3: 56/60 = 93.3% = 7
IA: 30/40 = 6
This gives out an overall score of 76.9/100, i.e. 77/100.

How the hell is it possible for them to raise my marks by so much? :s-smilie: This is Maths, not an essay subject! The marking for Maths is straightforward and shouldn't vary by more than a few points per paper. The IB examiners have just lost quite a bit of credibility in my eyes...

I did Higher English, and I had never got less than a 5 in any of my essays during the whole two years. In my two exams, I got a 7 and a 3. A THREE? How is that possible? Especially considering that that was the exam that I felt most comfortable in.

It meant that I got a 6 overall, but I was too scared to get a remark unless it went down, because I needed a 6+ in English for uni. So :woo: for getting into uni, but  for the weird marking.
I still haven't gotten my diploma. :frown:

That's odd, I got mine like two months ago. :s-smilie:

I think my school has my diploma, and is refusing to send it to me in Scotland, or to my home in America. They're idiots.
