i got 5.1 for section 1, 4.7 for section 2, and 3A for section 3. My BMAT choices are Cambridge and UCL and I'm international (but studying in UK). Will my ECF help me at least get an interview at Cambridge?
Hey there, thanks for posting a question in the Medicine forum.

5.9 7.1 4A and rejected without an interview as an international…feeling super lost and confused

I think your BMAT is pretty average- low is a stretch in my opinion. As an international, it unfortunately might not be enough for Cambridge/ UCL (where average offer holders or even those invited to interview had higher scores) though. But, you can check their websites to find out more. I believe UCL publish their average offer holder/ interview holders scores on their website for previous cycles so worth looking at.

Best of luck
yeah I'm hoping they might lower the threshold but hearing how internationals are the ones mainly scoring 6s and 7s made me prepare for the worst

Hopefully the hard work pays off; if not, you've got your other choices. Remember, with med, one interview and subsequent offer is all you need!
If you need any advise, feel free to pm me- I'm not international but if you need any other help/ advise with the medical application process, I'll be happy to assist.
