warm slightly soapy water?

I wash my Scholl heel guards just in warm water under a tap. They become really sticky afterwards so just be careful where you leave them to dry.
I wash mine that are similar (not same brand) with warm soapy water

I'm worried they won't stay sticky after I've washed them...
Sorry to hijack this thread, but how do people fit them in their shoes? I've tried them with heels before, and because I have high arches they don't work - they just make it more painful!! Anyone else have this problem? xx

I've never had a problem with them, I normally just put them right at the top of the heel where the shoe always rubs my feet.
