A lot of the top universities for Economics won't give offers till after January apparently including Nottingham, Birmingham, Warwick, LSE I think....
Nottingham are sending offers for Economics, got mine through the other day for Maths & Economics!

I think for straight Economics, they are definitely waiting for after the January deadline, not sure about other Economics degree (like Maths&Economics, Economics&Econometrics)...
Do you know anyone who has got an offer for Economics and Econometrics yet?

at first i thought it must be a bad thing and my application has been considered and been put aside til after the jan 15th deadline kind of like a reserve (me being paranoid as usual about rejection) but i'm feeling better now it's not just me! It seems to be normal for everyone I've spoken to doing maths..
