Violin Teachers in Oxford?

Does anyone know a violin teacher in Oxford? Having a hard time finding one...

Thanks!
Your best bet would be to see if there are any Music students advertising themselves as teachers on the noticeboard in the Faculty. Alternatively, you could put your own advert there
This site is useful.
http://www.musicteachers.co.uk/

Enter "violin" and Oxfordshire, and look for OX1 or OX2 postcodes (central oxford).

For example:

I tried this. But most of the ads were posted a long time ago: either the phone number doesn't work or the person has stopped giving lessons. There were a few that I managed to get a hold of, but the fees were not within my budget. (25 pounds an hour or less)

With students you might be able to swap favours, e.g. teach someone a language or baking or some other handy skill in exchange for lessons

If you're already at Oxford, you might like to try this:

Find a student to teach you, reduced prices and you'll make a friend  I'm currently looking for a violin teacher for next year too at university. I'm also looking to teach trumpet, not sure how many people play it these days though!

Sorry to hear that. It could be an old list, or it could be that people aren't checking their Oxford email addresses over the holiday :dontknow:

Tim Hawken, who sings in Christ Church choir is also an awesome violinist/violist/pianist/accompanist. Contact via college or uni email system.
