True, true! Oh yey, I no doubt will be revising on Christmas day with both Chemistry and Maths....eek, I'll be so scared :afraid: Oh and general studies, which I DO NOT want to do :mad2: :huff:

Why?! you have 14 days at least in the holidays you don't have to.revise through all of them! urgh.. General :colonhash:

Can someone help me with this question please, struggling a litte:smile:.

Find the equation of the line AB in the form ax+by=c. A=(-2,3) B=(4,1). I found the gradient as -1/3

But the availability of having January exams is much better I think... Because between September and January there is plenty of time to prepare for an exam, even two exams...

And then you have another chance as well

People tend to do better in June than in January apparently. :dontknow:

I always have to say thank you x3, it's my tradition :ahee:
It's deserved and is not an overreaction when you go to that much trouble! Honestly

Haha, then I have to say "No problem" three times

Seriously, it's nothing. Haha, "you're ridiculous "

Good, now substitute in the gradient and one set of coordinates into:

yy1=m(xx1)y-y_1=m(x-x_1) and then rearrange to get it in the form ax+by+c

Equation of a line:

y - y_1 = m(x-x_1)

y_1 and x_1 = known y and x co ordinate
m = gradient

y - 3 = -1/3 (x--2)
y-3=-1/3(x+2)

Multiply by 3:
3y - 9 = -1(x-2)

Expand and re arrange

I know it doesn't but it suggests that it's best to do most exams in June rather than in January...

But then June will be here too! plus you have nice Christmas Holidays to revise!

Still have to revise for mocks if don't have AS exams, like me!

Thanks for the help:smile:. Where did the -2 come from in the end bracket? Or should it be +2?

I guess it's good in some way though. People in my year are going to do some exams privately I think in January because our school makes us do them all in June!

Wow! That is unfair.. If the student opts for it then surely they should see if they're capable with tests and enter them for exams

Ah well, don't worry about them now, you can't do anything about it. And you don't know if you've failed yet or not! :nah:

All I have planned is to finish my homework and revise for some tests in all honesty. I have loads of work to do! You?

True... I'll let you know how I did. If I get more than 15/34 I'll be amazed. The teachers are going to KILL me. Probably threaten to kick me off the course
Oooh, doesn't sounds too fun! I didn't do much work as I planned. :/

I will in my position, I'm not naturally good at maths like you and others, trust me, so I'm going to have to work my backside off to do well! :ashamed2:
It's just dreadful, DREADFUL. :mad2:

The fact you're in Year 11 makes you look even better, not worse! I take my hat off, :hat2: , to people like you, I'm completely in awe of the amount of work you do, honestly! :h: You'll do absolutely fantastic
Meh, I hope to :colondollar:

Yeah, they do  they work really hard for it and they get it  hopefully I'll get it...

I might have a little bit of natural help, but that's not enough  just like anything in life have tk work for it :colone:
