Brilliant idea! Now we just need the Mail to write an article on it and then its popularity will soar even further.

I'm pretty sure nobody's ever asserted the BBC is right-wing.

They have: http://www.newstatesman.com/uk-politics/2009/08/mehdi-hasan-bbc-wing-bias-corporation

The BBC's bias is thus an Establishment bias, a bias towards power and privilege, tradition and orthodoxy. The accusation that the BBC is left-wing and liberal is a calculated and cynical move by the right to cow the corporation into submission.

There's probably more accusations from the right because they are more likely to moan and they have nearly the entire media on their side.

 I definitely support this idea.

How about the alternative Wizard of Oz hit, "If Only I Had a Brain"?

A punk band that follows Thatcher is just hilarious.

I do believe that this band is, what hipsters say, a sell out.

So all punks have to be left-wing anarchists?

Last time I checked, 'punk' just referred to music that made a political statement. Regardless of allegiance.

These socialists have their heads buried in sand, it is a wonder they can conjure up a sentence so it would be near on impossible for them to generate one that makes sense.

Can you give me more than one example? I provided a whole Wikipedia section on it with multiple examples and I don't really feel a single article proclaiming how "the people that believe this are wrong" is really demonstrative of a largely held opinion. It's fairly commonly known history that while Thatcher was in power it was basically a taboo to mention her name if you worked at the BBC.

Er, what? I don't like where this debate is going. Too much emotion, not enough logic.

EDIT: Oh I've just realised who you are lol.

Thatcher's back in number ten!

Suspicious lack of any attention from the media about the fact that this song has entered the top 10 in just one day, despite them all salivating at the mouth and running headline news when Ding Dong got there.
I guarantee that they would play a pro-Thatcher song in full. 4-5 seconds is disgusting. I cannot condone the suppression of the charts. It just shows in what dire economic straits this country is in that this can be compared to 1977.
Im gonna compare socialism to the royalists trying to go back to a monarchy in France.

There aint now chance of going back to that yoooo

Apparently it's outselling Ding Dong two-to-one and is already no.1 on Amazon.

I don't really have an opinion on Margaret Thatcher, but I do think 'Ding Dong' should be banned for the sake of her grieveing family. How would you like it if your Mum died and 'Ding Dong the Witch is Dead' was played to celebrate?
I just saw the page mentioned on ITV news haha

On bbc news when they interviewed the director guy (can't remember his exact position) he said that what the bbc will do is play a few seconds of the song during an explanation of why "a group of people have done this".

Personally I wish the bbc would say, look we don't support this song however this song has been chosen by the people to be played and thus it shall be. If the song was suggested as a request then I would think it as unreasonable however since so many people have bought the song then its position and "right" to be played is because of popular opinion. The daily mail however would completely lose it at the bbc they already had an article earlier in the week saying how "discraceful it was that the bbc presenters weren't wearing black suits and ties when they announced the death considering this may be the sadest news we have ever heard", and yes that is a word for word quote from their paper on Wednesday.

What does this have to do with the economy and how on earth do you think our current situation is anything as bad as 1977?
