It's a diol, so there's two carboxylic acid groups and one alcohol group to make it, if that helps :smile:

A and B are isomers of C3H6.
I'm doing this as a resit, and im just saying if anybody does do badly once you do A2 then you come back to this it's so much easier so if you do bad this year just resit it next june and you'll most likely do so much better :biggrin:
has anyone got any tips for not making STUPID mistakes? This is the reason for me getting low As in all my past papers! any help would be much appreciated thankyou :smile:

11.1/1=11.1
7.4075 is the smallest number so 7.4075/7.4075=1
11.1/7.4075=1.5
C:h: = 1:1.5 so C2H3


That doesnt make sense? surely the empirical formula is CH2 then?
