also, guys one question asked why us the manufacture of propenitrile 100% atom economy

unsure of answer, i said: it is addition polymerization, so only one product is formed being propenitrile

I think I got left right unchanged, Hmmm cant remember what the equation was
What did people write for the enthalpy change of combustion? It was standard right?

Extremely easy - grade boundaries are gonna be sky high.

90/100 for an A?

Not that high :L probs more like 80-82

what did people put for the way that the equilibrium shifted?
with temp
with pressure
with catalyst:smile:

Are you referring to that one with above 2.5 atmospheric pressure etc? For both i put it to shift left, with absence of catalyst slowing down the rate at which dynamic equilibrium is reached.

What was the equations for the free radical substitution?? Everyone at my college got different answers.

Well it asked for two propagation stages, so i did;

Initiation: IBr -> I. + Br.

Propagation Step 1: CH4 + Br. > CH3. + HBr
Propagation Step 2: CH3. + I2 > CH3I + I.

Termination: Br + I > IBr etc.

isnt it 240/24 = 10 moles, 2 moles = 134 or whatever it was, so 5x134= 1670

Thats what i did so i hope it is right :3

the highest before has been 84 for an A
i really doubt it'll be 90 but im guessing 85 or 86

I swear I got like +820 for the 24dm3 question? Anyone else get that? :frown:

pretty sure i got that too

Please tell me people just drew an octagon on the second page? I felt like an idiot

yeppp i did

thats right, you times it by 5 not 10, the original one had 2 moles already.

I did 240/24=10
10/2=5
5 x 164 = +820 ???
I really loved this exam! It was a resit. I put one or two really silly things, but other than that I was really happy with how that went.

I drew cyclooctane plus H2

Were the functional groups alkene and ester?

Iput c-o and c=o but was really confused, I did put c=c first but got muddled
I cried.
Original post by Zzzyax
i think i got 98/99 maybe 91 for an A

That's ridiculous- grade boundaries will never be that high
Original post by gary96
I put that I'm pretty confident with ester but I wasn't sure about alkene

I put alkene and carbonyl, will that count ?
