What's the average for an A in chem? 75 odd?

I would say around that on average.
This year?
I reckon it will stay put t around 77-79 again...
Much harsher than Biology and totally vile compared to Physics for those that studied it...

Not as bad as me, I spelt it as 'breathylyser' :colondollar:

What was the 2 mark Hess cycle answer?

‒4596 or ‒4956 something like that.
For 3 d ii
I said I is the cis isomer and J is the trans, will i get a mark?

For 4 b i
I wrote 'Heat' it was a guess, is that right?
AHHHHHHHH I FORGOT ABOUT THE BREATHALYSER

How many marks was that question ????

for the one about formation of ozone, what were the two equations?
I did O3 + O -> 2O2 and
O2 + O -> O3
is that right ?

I am going to have to say that those equations - that could be expressed as one - was suppose to be included with the question ABOVE that one..

That is showing the overall equation for this reaction breakdown.
The ones below are showing the radical substitution!

THESE ARE THEM:
NO. + O3 goes to NO2. + O2
Then...
NO2. + O goes to NO. + O2.

I put the second one with reversible arrow. Isn't the first eqn breaking down of ozone. They asked how is it maintained? I gave the second eqn and said the reaction continues and while at this, absorbs UV and releases as heat with no net loss of ozone.

You're right, and I think you will get the mark.

I don't think that would be acceptable. UV light is essential to start a radical reaction.
I Hope the paper I uploaded Helps everyone in discovering an ESTIMATE of their mark, sorry for the delay.

thats what i did for the question above, but whats the answer for the ozone maintenance one ?

It's e/z not cis/trans bro.

I put uv light, but heat will almost certainly be allowed.
What is the UMS you need for an A* overall?

Please teach me how to merge different pdf files in one? I have been wanting to know this all my life?????

if you just show the making of ozone that isnt maintaining, its increasing, right ?

Yeah I put I is a Z-isomer and J is a an E-isomer
for the ozone depletion i used the equation and i explained it, would i get 2 marks for that?

Guys if I did the propagation steps differently-
Like reacted Ch4 with Br• and showed that
Then Ch4 with I• and still got the required products- will that be ok?
Reply 3699
Did anyone else get -4534 for the formation?
