I think I remember explaining the concept of passive tenses to Fish last year, and typing out French examples!

And he understands French...

OOOOOOH YOU'RE STEPPING INTO 'IDIOMATIC' DUTCH TERRITORY RIGHT NOW!!!
very brave! Goed gedaan! You really do underestimate your aptitude for Low Germanic languages! ^^ If you said that same sentence with 'er', then you could be any 'Jan' 'Henk' or 'Erik' somewhere in Amsterdam! lool

:colondollar: waarom zeg je 'er' daar? Nonononono I'm just getting lucky with my grammar, I'm stumbling around in the dark really

"Je ziet er niet uit" As a semi-baby-native ish speaker my grammatical explanations will rarely elaborate further from..."It just sounds right to me" lol

'eruitzien' is kind of a verb...I did not even know that!
Hej!

I am learning Swedish.

Det är mycket svårt!!!

So then I can watch all the Scandinavian Noir dramas on BBC4. Unfortuantely it is not quite the same as Norwegian and Danish so I might have to learn 3 languages!

It is very difficult to get Swedish books/novels in England. Any ideas where I can get some?

Jag vill arbeta i Sverige.

Jag älskar dig!

Tak!

Jeg ved ikke, om du vil kunne forstå hvad jeg siger hvis jeg skriver dansk, men - hej! Jeg vil kunne forstå det helt fint hvis du skriver svensk.

Jeg tror dansk er det bedste sprog at lære hvis du vil kunne forstå alle tre (dansk, norsk og svensk) men svensk er alligevel et godt valg.

Edit: I have the same problem with Danish books. A quick google came up with a few sites:

bokus.com, bokia.se and adlibris.com/se

I think I've bought a book from the Danish version of adlibris but I'm not sure.
