My favorite school subjects are Mathematics and natural sciences, so Biology, Chemistry and Physics, not only in GSCE. Moreover I'm interest in German literature, no matter whether poems, epics or drama.
Thought I'd join in even though I'm year 13

Mine was definitely History

Aww man! I miss PE... Year 13s don't get to do that anymore :frown: Ahhh, remember the days where you had to lug an extra bag to school? Yeah, those were the times.

I like some eras in German History. From National Socialism to German reunification I'm interest in.

I am in year 11 and have to lug my extra bag every Tuesday! These days for me are definitely not "the times", hate PE lol

Assuming you mean the subjects chosen additional to core subjects - Geography, because my other choice was Sociology, which I am finding very difficult, and it seems impossible to get good marks on the questions as you have to know sh*t loads of information (terms, dates, law changes, researchers' names, research methods, etc.)

If you just mean favourite subject in general I'd say English, and to further that information - English language! So much simpler.

Haha, that's understandable! But trust me, when you get to year 13 and you don't get opportunities like that anymore, you will miss PE my friend...you will.
I would say Maths, but it's pretty dull at GCSE. My favourite GCSE subject was Geography.

Are the tasks too easy or why mathematics is dull at GSCE for you? mathematics is too interesting to ever be dull!

My school now started offering Further Maths GCSE, and I'm stuck between that, Spanish, and Japanese. Although, all three of them are starting to build up the pressure, :bricks:
Definitely History, although I am enjoying Computing.

Because Maths at GCSE is just applying the same algorithms over and over again. There's no thought or creativity required. To be honest, there's not a lot of creativity required at A Level but at least it's a bit more inspiring.
I love Computer Science. (AS level xD)

I see what you mean. In my opinion everyone needs a certain creativity to solve mathematical problems - and a great portion of logic. At the moment I'm learning about linear algebra with geometric figures, vectors, lines and planes. Sometimes there are more than one solution process, so its up to everyone to solve the task. That can be very helpful to solve a task by using a favoured process. But sometimes, it confuses me, as I begin to lose the track of the task. From this perspective I have not an objection against a strict solution process.

Could it be that biology counts to your favorites too? your member name sounds so revealing...

I sort of get what you're saying and I suppose I did like Mathematics at GCSE because I didn't know anything better, but retrospectively it was pretty rubbish. I do like Biology but I wouldn't say I have a passion for it. I just really love plants and green things!

So I suppose you are interest in botany, aren't you?

I'm interest in botany insofar, as the physiology of green plants fascinates me. Its very interesting to read about their autotrophic nutrition. Nevertheless it seems that we are different, because I have a pasion for biology matters, no matter if botany, genetics, cytology, evolution theory, etc.
