I like mostly decent rock and also, oddly enough, IDM

Basically experimental techno. Most well known act as far as I know is Aphex Twin but I prefer Autechre.
I just listened to it it sounds like something stoners would listen too haha it's pretentious to be honest I like every genre but any rock music or techno dance house cloud music does me

Okay yes I like that type of music too I've heard it before just didn't know the but I'm guessing the name dance is the tempo it's like 180bpm and the intelligence because of the melody it's sweet Taa

It really depends. There's no such 'rule of thumb'. I guess pop music is the most broad and accessible and, thus, most popular. But you could argue events like Glastonbury/T In The Park/Reading & Leeds make alternative music (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian etc.) just as popular, whilst house music is obviously hugely popular in the club scene with teenagers gurning their faces off to the latest Bashmore track.

I never meant House music produced in the UK... just that House music in general is the most popular here from what I've seen.

Same, but i think think Autechre's 'Confield' made them replace Aphex as the the kings of IDM.
