I've never tried rum, but I will admit that beer isn't my favourite either

I still prefer it to wine though. I've never seen/read it, but I feel betrayed by Bridget Jones. Vile stuff :unimpressed: .

I despise wine :colonhash: I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE GRAPES :emo:

I don't think I've tried beer enough to really have an opinion. I give up after the disgustingness touches my lips

I'm relatively certain I don't like any alcohol (so far), which is obviously why I put it in other, delicious things  Limoncello slushie and vodka :coma:

ok wtf

The expansion of (a+x)n(a+x)^n where nNn\in\mathbb{N} has the form:

an+...+αxr+βxr+1+γxr+2+...+xna^n + ... + \alpha x^r + \beta x^{r+1} + \gamma x^{r+2} + ... + x^n

a. Show that the ratio of αβ\frac{\alpha}{\beta} is r+1nra\frac{r+1}{n-r} a

b. If a=1a=1 show that the expansion will contain two consecutive terms with the same coefficient as long as nn is odd.

c. Using the result of part a. deduce and expression for βγ\frac{\beta}{\gamma}

d. Prove that there are no values for aa such that in the expansion of (a+x)n(a+x)^n, nNn\in\mathbb{N}, three consecutive terms have the same coefficient.
Just received the wonderful news via email that I have study leave for my mocks in February!

:jebus:

Also I don't think I've visited this thread before, hello fellow year twelve students!

Yeah, this is a thing at my sixth form. It's only a week though! I had it for my year 11 mocks last November as well.

I've got no exams this year apart from mocks so no exam leave

which is good I guess cause I'll end up not doing any work ^_^

Well yeah, because the IB would have to be fully complete... So A Levels are an extra to it.

Okey Dokey. Still pondering whether I should consider the IB...

Would mean going to a relatively **** college though...

And tbh I'd be taking the exact same a level subjects (aside from english) I could do on the IB...

What's the difference between HL and SL

Well then don't... If it's **** though I doubt they'd be running IB.

HL is higher level, and SL is standard level. HL is like the ones you'd need for uni entrance in terms of grades and subjects. But you need to do well in SL as well to make up for the overall score.

Like a Cambridge offer may be 42 and 776 at HL

Can you take more than 3 HL?

Trust me it's crap. The IB is the only way they get people to apply apart from to vocational courses.

I think you're getting ahead of yourself, I'm just going to say no.

So how do they run IB?

Nah **** IBs then, want to do Biology, Chemistry, Maths and History to a HL

It's quite a a big college but well reputed to be a drop out zone, lots of fails and often inadequate teaching.

Then don't go, and why History SL would be sufficient :erm: it's not any less.
