the area of the part a) plus the triangle is a sector. a) is the area of a segment.

so, area of a) = sector minus trangle area.

(the formula for this is actually Aseg=12r2(θsin(θ)A_{seg} = \frac{1}{2}r^{2}( \theta - \sin(\theta)

The question says the chord divides the CIRCUMFERENCE in the ratio 1:3 NOT the area
