A Level work experience- law and languages

Go and sit in the Public Gallery of your local Magistrates Court or County Court. Listen to trials, watch the procedures and think about the sort of qualities you need to be a lawyer in that situation. Go to as many different sort of courts as you can and if you live in London then include somewhere like the Old Bailey on your list. Anyone can go and sit in the Public Gallery - no application needed. You might also find it useful listening to any podcast lectures on Law/legal subjects you can find on the net (ie. Oxford - http://podcasts.ox.ac.uk/series/law-faculty-podcasts, QMUL http://www.law.qmul.ac.uk/events/podcasts/).

You don't need work experience in a subject like French/German - only is its a vocational subject like Law. But you could offer your self as a 'conversation helper' at a primary school that teaches that subject if you think you need something. But explain this in your PS in terms of 'what this has given me/taught me' rather than just 'I help out at a local Primary School'.

I'm struggling to find work experience the field of law. I've applied to loads of courts, but they all say that they don't do work experience placements! Anyone have any ideas about where else I could apply, or the names of any courts/large solicitors/barristers chambers who take alevel students for work experience?!
I'm also looking for work experience with something to do with languages. Anyone know where I could apply to within the uk which is good for improving my French and German?
