You might hate me for this, but this is how I did with just my two index fingers
Practice does make perfect for this, if you want to learn to touch type then you'll have to try and get used to doing it without looking although tbh, I don't think it's that useful a skill (unless you want to take notes using a computer? ) - very rarely do you completely know what you want to say, and you usually need to check work so...
I never really type any work up or anything so typing faster is pretty useless for me.
I wouldn't recommend this practise technique for other skills though; it only works with typing since the keys are so damn big. Don't you think it's weird that most people spend their days typing on keyboards yet they can't type that quickly? Something to do with plateaus; people think 'this is good enough'. I watched a video about it once; you need to try and push yoruself
So long as you aren't one of those guys that type with their two index fingers only... I'll see how fast I can type with just my index fingers for lols
I can type super fast on my phone when my fingers aren't frozen
But I'm rarely on the laptop so maybe that's why it seems so bizarre
I've come to notice that when you're doing things with your hands, you need to be relaxed in order to achieve high speeds. Can't think of a single skill that uses your hands that doesn't tbh, but this is something I've only come to appreciate recently.
When I type at my fastest speed I'm not really tense
