applied for manchester, bristol, glasgow, edinburgh, cambs firm choice will be manc, insurance will be bristol so I will known as the "brummie" I have no doubt
Yeah. Probably.
No matter how far I've managed to distance myself from my Nottingham accent, there will be two phrases that will always give me away.
'Can I have a chip cob please?' 'Stop being so mardy'
ah you say cob?! its a roll for me :P and yeah I say mardy too XD I have like random phrases and stuff that my family say, and I have loads of scottish family too so my vocab is a hybrid of brummie and scottish slang which is ... interesting I guess XD

Weirdo. A chip 'roll' doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
OK, so my accent is a culmination of going to american international schools for all of elementary school and attending a Scottish state school for all of secondary school. To be honest, I'm a chameleon when I speak - I mirror the accent of whoever talks to me.
