The Student Room Group

Edexcel GCE Physics Unit 1 - 19th May 2015

Hey there!

Don't think there's a thread already so I thought I'd make one. Just wondering how everybody's revision is going. This can be a space to share resources/ revision techniques.

I am an A2 student retaking the exam as last year's paper was a beast. Although I did well (low B), as it is the easiest exam out of the 4 I thought I should boost my UMS to be safe.

Hi there, yeah revision is going well. Say, do you have Twitter or something? I'm an AS student, I'm getting A/Bs in Physics, but there are still some topics I don't quite understand, my teachers aren't that good

I pretty much made all oh my PH01 notes, doing exam papers now & going over the topics I don't understand.

PHO2 I still have to do Waves & the other bit I forgot
Do ALL past papers twice as practice makes perfect. Also it's definitly worth doing the questions on the following link:

as practice makes perfect!

Make sure you UNDERSTAND the stuff. I do not create much notes for physics and just focus purely on the practice as it's quite mathematical.

Hey bro. Any advice on how to do well in Physics? I pretty much know the stuff, but there's always a couple of questions that just make you think for ages, how can make it easier to understand & try & solve them?

The textbook we were given is utter rubbish, is anyone just using the CGP revision guide?

What textbook? Was it the context based approach (starting with HFS and EAT and SUR) because I too found that textbook appalling. I purchased the concept based textbook which I found much more useful. Either way the revision guides are very good at laying everything out clearly.
