WJEC English Literature GCSE 18th and 22nd May.

The book was used for the theatre version of it so I'm sure you could mention him wearing a black suit, but if not then you could still write about how the narrator's appearance isn't actually given in the book, which would show that he is an anonymous character where the reader doesn't learn much about him

Apparently the most likely for AIC is Birling - or at least I hope. Surely heroes will be between Larry Nicole and Francis as there is not much to say about the others. The ones that screw me up at the extract mood and atmosphere ones!

I've heard that An Inspector Calls could be something along the lines of Social Responsibility...role of the inspector representing Priestley's views of society e.g socialism etc (because that's a good way to get the context marks in)

And for Heroes our teacher has predicted Francis.

Hopefully these are the ones that come up! They're only predictions but when I did OMAM last year they guessed completely right with Crooks of the essay and Curley's Wife on the extract (they even got the section of the book for the extract right!)

probably a stupid question, but I'm doing LOTF and Blood Brothers tomorrow, so i was wondering will the questions be like the OMAM questions were on Monday? like will there be an extract question and then a character/theme question for both books? like hows it set out (sorry I'm panicking)

Due to LOTF having context marks, you could put Simon in the context of WWII in that he could represent the Jews in Nazi Germany due to his 'Jesus' image, fitting with Jack as Hitler. This could be seen as Golding criticising the behaviour of the Nazis.

Yep, it's set out the same, except with 4 SPaG marks available per question.

I really do hope so. They would be the best questions ever. I think if anyone other that Francis, Larry or Nicole comes up for heroes, I am stuffed. Surely they can't justify a question on Mrs Belander or Joey LeBlanc etc. that would be ridiculous.

Do none of you people have the capacity to read the forum? LOTF specifically has been asked about 20 times now. All you have to do is look at the forum.

For ease, LOTF is likely to be Roger, Simon or Jack. I wouldnt know about BB, I didn't read it.

From what people have said on previous pages for Lord of the flies it could be Simon/roger/Ralph
For blood brothers I have no idea it could be anything. I find this play very hard to analyse as its very straight forward and there's not much to say

I think they would definitely be the only character questions which would come up for Heroes... It's just whether or not it will be a theme style question. I really really hope it's Francis as the others have come up before.
