Did you manage to find the volume in the last ? I got stuck at integrating cot^4xcosecx

Substitution? u= inside of bracket, i.e. u = cot x

How do you think this paper will compare to others, with respect to grade boundaries?

Answers Q1 was x=2 and x=-22/9? Or something like that
q2 x=1/2 only x=-1 does not work squaring brings this solution out but is invalid in first eq.
q3 4,124,192,244
q4 last part was like 509/256 this mite be wrong in fact it is I think.
Q5 last part x=-root8
q6 last part 1/2root30

Can't have negative solutions to the first questions I think, since ln9 only passes in quadrants 1 and 4 so the graphs only intersect at x=2. But correct me if I'm wrong

No you can. Check it in ur calc. You can see two solutions from your sketch!

Tinyhobbit and teeem. What do you think of the paper? Hardest questions ? I reckon the trig one was the hardest!

I cannot tell until I physically do the paper myself
Can someone post a solution to 6c onwards?

did anyone get 2root6 for the magnitude of AX??
And for q3, i did all the algebra all the way to cos2x+78=sinx, and then used cosx=sin90-x, but i only got one solution of 4 deg, i cudnt work out any other solutions, how many marks would i get outta 9??

I got 2√6 for magnitude of AX as well. Didn't do q3 though
