I have 15 piercings and i can honestly say piercings definitely hurt more than tattoos.

I had both pierced at the age of 13, had them both re pierced at the age of 16 and i am female- it hurt no more than an eyebrow or naval piercing....
I guess what is more important is your pain tolerance. Results vary.

It bloody well hurt! I can't compare with naval or eyebrow piercing as I've never had either. I can only compare with tattoos.

It really hurt for about 20 seconds and then became a dull ache for a day. Then it was just a bit on the sore side for the next week.
