I am thinking of dropping further maths after As due to the fact that both my Physics and Chemistry courses are linear and I would rather get 3 really good A level than 4 ok A levels, but if I do M1 in As further maths and drop it after As, would I be able to do M1 in normal maths at A2 or would I have to do a different unit.

Thankyou
if you are using M1 for your further maths AS then you cannot use it for Maths Alevel also, you will have to pick another module
I can not drop Physics or Chemistry as the government have made them linear course so you only sit the exams in year 13 :/
Ah ok, forgot about that lol. Well depends what you are doing for uni. If you are doing Maths or Physics I recommend doing it, even if it means you just turn up to lessons as the content is rather useful.

At uni I would like to do civil engineering, I feel that if I carry on further maths at A2 it would impact my other grades :/ and the exam board for maths is Edexcel
Which module would you recommend for getting the highest grade possible?
AS Further Maths
FP1, M1, M2
Maths
C1-C4, S1, D1 or S2 (S2 is easy and pretty enjoyable but grade boundaries are ridiculous, if you're prone to silly mistakes don't bother with it, never done D1 but apparently its piss)

At further maths we are doing fp1, m1 and d1 so I guess I would have to do either s2 or d2, I hear we are getting a stats specialist in September so s2 may be the better option
