Kingston University Journalism Students - 2017

Who's potentially going to be going to Kingston University to study Journalism or who's received an offer & definitely going to be going? Would love to see who I might be meeting on the course (or even just meet other journalism students!).

Received an unconditional offer and whilst I am still waiting to hear back from the other universities I applied to, I am definitely going to be choosing to attend Kingston.

Ah I'm honestly not sure - The Facebook pages for each halls looked relatively empty (Less than 10 for most of them, and that's including officers). But obviously it's best to pay it as soon as you can. Yeah Clayhill looked alright, I just wanted somewhere that'd be a decent size! Especially wanted a flat that'd have a decent amount of people in it as well haha

It's £150 per week http://www.kingston.ac.uk/accommodation/halls-of-residence/room-types-and-costs/walkden/ . I really like how there looks like a lot of storage space, room to move etc. Plus with it being a large group in the flat, I figured it'd be better for socialising. Decided it'd be worth the extra money, considering it's not much cheaper to go for a much smaller room

Ah I'm honestly not sure. There's some pretty negative reviews over at https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.crm-students.com.
Then there's this; http://residentreview.co.uk/estate-agent-review/crm-students-letting/66. I really don't know, I haven't looked into private halls. It's worth noting though that a lot of these reviews are for different places, and some of them are pretty dated. Also, just because one person really hated it, doesn't mean others didn't completely love it (or that you wouldn't completely love it). I have to admit that I'm a bit clueless when it comes to those sort of halls. Maybe worth ringing them up and talking to them? Is it possible for you to go and visit?

Hey guys,

I'm a 2nd year Journalism student next year. My best advice is going to Middle Mill Halls of Residence. I've had a fantastic time there. It is so easy to access the Penrhyn Road campus. Only a 5 minute walk. It's 10 minutes to the town centre and no other halls bolsters a spacious kitchens, the most best looking accommodation and relaxed campus security.

Also, you will love Journalism. So much support for you and the department is well organised and structured.
