Training Contract Seat Question!

Hey guys,

so I have a TC with Addleshaw Goddard lined up. I'm excited, but there is one thing which is necessary I feel for my future career. I get bored quite easily and have loads of energy, and Im thinking about seat choices and decisions, and I'm not sure what preferences I will be putting down.

Anyone who is/has done the training contract process, what seats do you recommend for someone who needs to keep active, busy, and interested? I would rather work in a busy environment (even if that involves some later hours) than a slower-paced scene, which would bore me to death. I love law but I just need to gain a sense as to what would be the more energetic sectors? I've tried to research this but I cant find any opinions really.

For your first seat I would put down something which you either know you are interested in, or is a compulsory seat.

You will have a better idea what interests you after you have been at the firm a few months.

More "energetic" and "busy" practices are probably parts of the firm which are transaction-driven (such as corporate), where you are working to tight timetables. I imagine there is a slower pace in areas which are more "advisory", which will be more specialist departments such as environment or pensions. Though those areas will still get busy sometimes so it is difficult to say.
