What do you guys think about the methodology? Also, would you weigh ‘teaching excellence’ or ‘research power’ more in choosing your uni?

What’s really interesting is that Imperial performed very well despite being ranked 11th in the table. In all but one indicator (outcomes, engangement, resources), it performs better or equivalent to Oxbridge. In the last indicator which is ‘Environment’, Imperial is ranked 231st among 246 universities. Oxbridge are ranked 201st and 202nd. Now I wonder why.

Teaching excellence of course, although research power is important in attracting the best of academics, its impact on students is minimal to non existent.

Yes, because you're not really given any chance to participate in research for most degrees - that'll come during the masters (if research-based) or PhD.

Who cares what EUrope thinks? And what gives them the right to rank Our British education institutions like this ? It’s none of their business we are leaving Europe and hopefully without a deal and putting up borders to keep them well away from our shores.

Dude,

Times Higher Education (THE), formerly The Times Higher Education Supplement (THES), is a weekly magazine based in London, reporting specifically on news and issues related to higher education. It is the United Kingdom's leading publication in its field.

It’s the ranking within EUropean countries, not by “EUrope”.
