Ranking of the best Msc Finance degrees in the UK/Europe?

Hi @CelaenSardothien

Official rankings are usually based on undergraduate performances, and can also be university-wide (depending on which rankings you are looking at) so might not accurately reflect the teaching quality or experience you would get as a postgraduate on your course of interest. Additionally, because Cranfield is postgraduate-only, we are excluded from many rankings, so you might not have all of your options presented to you by these systems! Ranking can sometimes be a good indicator of employer perception of a course, but not always. I would highly recommend looking into things like course accreditation as well!
The Cranfield Finance MSc is a top-ranked finance master's course ranked as a UK top 10 and world top 50 Finance Master’s in International Business Rankings.
- 2nd in the UK and 6th in the world: The Times Higher Education/Wall Street Journal World University Rankings 2019 Master’s in Finance
- 8th in the UK and 44th in the world: Financial Times Masters in Finance Pre-experience ranking 2022
- 8th in the UK and 44th in the world: Financial Times Masters in Finance Pre-experience ranking 2022
The course content covers much of the syllabus of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification, giving you the opportunity to work towards an additional professional qualification while you are studying with us through the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. Previous students from this MSc have also WON the prestigious CFA Institute Research Challenge.

While university reputation is a factor for many people, usually students have many things that are important to them. These become additionally important when comparing universities with similar rankings (as you can see above, the rankings don’t always agree exactly on where to rank a course or uni). Things like course content are usually important, so that if you have a specific interest or career path in mind, the modules will support that direction. Also, how the university can support you outside of your course, with things like the Employability Service that can help you prepare your CV, gain interview skills, find positions available that match your skillset and goals, and more.

Hope this helps you find whatever university is the best for you!
