Funny that the prime minister of a country with such a questionable human rights record feels morally comfortable enough to judge Israel. Malaysia is also a country that ran out Jews with state sponsored antisemitism. To add to that he himself has made his dislike of Jews very clear. This stinks of antisemitism being veiled by a political stance

Our country is THAT HOSTILE to religious minorities that over 30,000 Christian Chin refugees from Myanmar would go on a perilous journey by foot, skipping over Thailand, just to get to predominantly Muslim 'religious minority-suppressing' Malaysia... Our country is 40% non muslim... So pls do enlighten me on why Jews would be treated any different...

You don't understand... Malaysia hasn't recognised Israel as a country throughout its entire history and therefore doesn't recognise the Israeli passport (basically refuses to accept they even exist), so how are the athletes able to get into the country without a valid passport ??? You really cannot describe it as a ban as Malaysia hasn't recognised Israel right from the birth of Malaysia in 1957... It is like someone with a Somaliland or Kosovo passport.. they cannot enter countries which don't recognise them can they?? So can you describe this as a ban on Somalilandi or Kosovan people?
