AMMAN (Reuters) - At least 544 civilians have been killed and over 2,000 people injured since a Russian-led assault on the last rebel bastion in northwestern Syria began two months ago, rights groups and rescuers said on Saturday.
Russian jets joined the Syrian army on April 26 in the biggest offensive against parts of rebel-held Idlib province and adjoining northern Hama provinces in the biggest escalation in the war between Syrian President Bashar al Assad and his enemies since last summer.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights,(SNHR), which monitors casualties and briefs various UN agencies, said the 544 civilians killed in the hundreds of attacks carried out by Russian jets and the Syrian army include 130 children. Another 2,117 people have been injured.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights is UK based (google yourself) and the majority of anti-Russian and anti-Assad government pieces the media does they always use them as their source.

Britain has been one of the leaders in pushing regime change in Syria along with the likes of the US and Israel.
You really think a British human rights group, that just runs anti-Russia and anti-Assad pieces all the time can be trusted?
I never claimed Russia hasn't killed civilians, or Assad but if we're to believe this human rights group you would think they are trying to cleanse Syria.
Can we agree on this?

They've got a long way to go before they reach the levels of civilian slaughter perpetrated by the US and its allies in its illegal military bombings in Raqqa alone (which killed >1500 civilians).

In fairness theyd have been perfectly happy to see Assad stay in the begining. The devil you know and all that.

I doubt the Russians care one way or the other who is king of the ashes, so to speak, so long as their interests hold. However, there is an interesting occurence, whether by design or happy coincidence is up for debate, in a large social realignment taking place in Syria with the Sunnis representing a far smaller cross section of society, relatively, now.
