Yes, there are some Jewish people upset about the Labour Party and I agree with that. I just don't agree that all Jews share the same opinion or that anti-semitism by some Labour supporters started during Corbyn’s leadership. The OP’s article even confirmed that there was anti-semitism in parts of the Party during Miliband’s time and he, too, is Jewish.

Thats all I said though but you've completely attacked me and said I am speaking nonsense when I merely tried to point out due to recent events especially a lot of Jews aren't fond of the Labour party. There are jews who support the labour party and some who don't. I think Alan sugar recently said he would vote for boris over corbyn if he could despite the fact that hes mainly only really voted for the labour party in the past.

They didn't like miliband because what a lot of Jewish MP/ministers do is they don't like to speak decently about israel without making it so political and they don't really dismiss the actions of the BDS sincerely. It is upsetting since Israel is incredibly important to us and the holy land has always been a centre for us jews.

I don't know if I will marry my girlfriend. She is a great person with excellent qualities but I am not with her because she is Jewish. I just happened to meet her and liked her then found out later on that she is Jewish.

I think we should stop alienating ourselves from the Labour Party. I completely accept there are some bad apples but the assumption or claim that the whole Party is rotten is OTT.

Finally, I don't know any American or secular Jew who is anti-semitic. Are you orthodox, you seem to have a very traditionalist view.

There is no issue if a jew or anybody for that matter is fond of labour party principles but I think some jews are fed up of the recent news of labour MPs treating the labour party as a safe haven for antisemitism remarks.

My political beliefs would probably lean towards the conservatives but I'm not fond of British politics. I normally tune into israeli politics and enjoy seeing the collaboration with orthodox parties and likud!

I went to a reform shul (i think you call it temple? ) once just to better my understanding of what reform jews follow and it was rather interesting. My mum later did tell me off though because its not considered ideal for an orthodox girl to be wandering in a liberal temple - my father laughed though!

Do you have friends that are non-orthodox? Of course your ma would tell you off because she probably wants to main the values that have been passed down.

My views lie in some aspects of traditional values. For example, I am against abortion because of value of life and impact to mother & child. I also believe in personal responsibility and accountability.

Not really but over the years I took part in debate club in my local town and there were a few liberal jews who I got along with but I don't really have many non orthodox friends. My university has a good J-soc though. I don't really tend to mingle with gentiles or anybody for that matter since naturally i'm pretty reserved and shy. I was actually quite open in the past but people ask really silly and upsetting questions.

This might be a bit too much information but the reasons for niddah (abstaining from period sex) is because of the loss of potential life. I actually found this really upsetting as a little girl when I learnt this but I am very thankful of these mitzvot because they really do emphasise my values ~ the value and importance of life but also family.

My Ma used to want me to have Jewish gf and told me that she was praying for me. I found it a bit weird that she was focused on the girl being nice & Jewish rather than whether I liked her or her other qualities. My Pa does not seem to care.

Ive had loads of interaction with liberal jews in debate club and theres some at my university to its nice to hear about different views. I agree with them on some issues and disagree on others.

Religious jew or not we tend to have good values so this is a good thing however some jews are too secular and wouldnt care about anything so it would be a clash of day to day values. I think my mother will be upset but I tend to surprise my parents and I will always do what makes me happy.

Your mother wants you to have a jewish girlfriend because when you have children they will be jewish. If you marry a gentile then your kids wont be jewish and that is quite a big thing so you have to understand your mothers worries! Its different for sons because if you were a girl she would know the kids will be jewish.

I disagree with conversion for marriage well its not ideal anyway in todays world. There are a few souls who convert in the most righteous way but thats because they felt jewish their entire lives not just to marry their partner. Its a tiny minority and besides we dont seek converts.
