Function of mitochondria (2 marks)

I wrote that it is where cell respiration occurs to supply energy.

The mark scheme says

To supply energy”(1)

By anaerobic respiration (1)

Would cell respiration give me the mark instead of saying anaerobic respiration? Cheers.

I think the key word is probably anaerobic as that's specific to the mitochondria

Hmm but it also said to ignore just anaerobic so don’t think it is the keyword.

Well you have to put what the whole mark scheme says to get a legit answer on this!

I'd always put anaerobic just to cover yourself but in this case it sounds like you'd get both marks
