I wouldn’t say so. I have 2 science A levels. However, I would say a decent degree in a biology subject or a subject 50% or more biology based will be more their worry.

Entry requirements for Teacher Training courses include a degree and GCSEs in Eng/Maths for secondary teaching and in addition, science for Primary teaching. A-Levels are not a requirement typically, but if you have a degree that does not directly relate to the subject of which you'd like to teach, then perhaps A-Levels can play a part.

Is Biological Sciences directly related to Biology

If the last time you studied any biology was at GCSE, then you're obviously going to have to do a lot of work if you want to teach it at secondary: whether that is as part of your university course or an A level knowledge supplemented by a SKE (look it up).

Yes, Biological Sciences would be directly related to Biology. Perhaps there is elements of Chemistry too, but I'd need to see your degree content to ascertain that.

Sorry, but as for Biology, we have to do PGCE Science with Biology. Is the requirements still the same?

Certainly in most schools, Biologists are ask to teach some Chemistry and Physics. Typically, a teacher training course that awards QTS and a PGCE, would offer you opportunities to practice teaching all of these disciplines of science. Some schools will become more specialist in KS 4 or 5, but it will depend on their staffing.

Irrespective of what you've like to teach, you need to meet the entry requirements of GCSEs in Eng/Maths (secondary) Eng/Maths/Science (Primary) and a degree, so the requirements are the same.

Do you have a Teacher Training Adviser from Get into Teaching? They would be able to coach you through this on a 1-2-1 basis and avoid any mis-understanding.
