Had my Needs Assessment and I'm happy with what's been recommended for me

Today I had my DSA Needs Assessment and it went well, this is what my assessor recommended for me, if those of you who have had similar software/equipment to me, can you give what you thought of it? It would help me a lot.

Global Autocorrect
Sonocent Audio Notetaker
ZoomText
Laptop - Visual Impairment 17”
Laptop bag
Printer allowance
1-1 mentor

I've also asked about a printer/scanner as well, my own one at home is difficult to get printer ink for and it's not very accessible for me to use, I'm visually impaired (I have Retinopathy of Prematurity so my vision has deteriorated quite badly in the last few years).
Some good news for a change and that sounds positive.
My only comment is for the printer, unless you really need colour then go for a black and white laser from someone like Brother, Samsung or even HP.
The first 2 have cheap generic ink cartridges and the latter has standrad but soemtimes expensive ink.
You can pick them up off ebay.

Try asking on the tech forum when you know your printer needs more and you have a budget. Sometimes they only let you buy from specified retailers. If not then just wait till someone like printerland has money off mail ins.

Will see if I can find another website that has more DSA students.

Thank you for your comment, but I think DSA normally recommend a multiprinter which can print colour alongside black and white, because of my visual impairment a printer which can print colour is a must due to myself having contrast issues and not being able to see black and white print well, I'll see what my assessor says and whether she'll allow me the printer or not.

Ok same applies then, just colours are more expensive to run. The ink is normally worth more than the printer, See what the scope and limitations are. Pointless suggesting anything till you know. Anyway it makes a change your contact with sipport services was a positive one.

My assessor said she would put in for a multi-function printer for me, so that's good.

Hopefully it meets your needs. No idea what choice you will have . DSA equipment can be quite pricey compared to buying it from the internet, but then I suppose its a niche and you are getting it for free. Wait and see what choices you get.
Got my equipment ordered and the laptop is a Gaming Laptop which I was not expecting at all, it's a HP Pavilion 15-ec1006na with a HP Envy 6020 Printer along with ZoomText, Sonocents software and microphone, it also includes a cooling stand too, my support on campus includes: Study Skills Support, a Specialist Campus Assistant to help with notetaking etc. and a exam reader too.
