You need to rearrange the equation (which you've stated above - without the "equals" sign :tong:) cos(43) = x/8 correctly.

How do you get this equation with x as the subject?
cosθ=adjacenthypotenuse \cos \theta = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}

adjacent=hypotenusecosθ adjacent = hypotenuse * \cos \theta
x= cos43 x 8
