Percentage of marks needed to gain a B grade in chemistry paper?

Qualification: GCSE (obviously)
Exam Board: AQA
Tier: Higher
Specification: Additional science 4463
Unit: 2

My teacher told me that to attain a B grade i will need to get at least 70% of the marks? But the grade boundaries show that i only need around 50% to attain a B grade....I'm confused :s-smilie:

I just did my C2 paper in January and I got 75% which was a B. It was 70% for a B and 80% for an A. I've been entered for a re-sit for that paper now though I was quite happy with the B. It's definately not 50% for a B grade, that was a D.

I know it's a different board, but I've done a OCR Chemistry (C1, C2, C3) paper where A* was 42/60 (70% and 90/100 UMS). It really depends on how hard the paper is that year, I assume.

i think your getting percentages confused if ums 70/100 ums is a B. its can range from 22-26 for a B
