What assumptions are made when using radioisotope dating/radiocarbon dating?

2 Assumptions for each one..

Radioisotope: (1) half life has remained unchanged and (2) radioisotope is same age as whatever is being dated

Radiocarbon: (1) Levels of carbon-14 in atmosphere has remained unchanged and (2) ???

Need another one for radiocarbon :tongue:

Radiocarbon dating (2) no contamination from other living matter such as bacteria and mould.

how about their easy availability and that further biofuel research needs to be done.
Also use of biofuels can result in higher food prices and hunger.
