Why don't black girls like white guys the way black guys like white girls

I've noticed this disparity and was just curious, even in same sex relationships Black women still aren't open to white people in general why is that? I even heard of black girls making fun of other black girls for liking white guys are they just racist?

I think you should respect people’s preferences. From my experience it’s actually the other way around . Also not wanting to date outside your race when you’re apart of a heavily discriminated minority group is complete valid in my opinion . But I don’t think people should be judge other decisions. At the end of the day you love who u love . Also I think this post is a gross generalisation . As a black girl myself I know many girls (black) who have dabbled in the snow. Please also go and learn what racism is , not wanting to be in a relationship with a white person isn’t racism maybe at it’s extreme prejudice but definitely not racism .For example , if I was gay I wouldn’t then make me a misandrist because I don’t want to date men ?!

I'd say partly because black women have been made to feel undesirable, although this is from both white and black people. However, there's an assumption among lots of black women that white guys wouldn't ever go for them, whereas it's relatively common for white girls to have a thing for black guys and vice versa. Saying all this, I'm mixed with a black mum and a white dad, so it's not impossible.

It depends on choice and yes they have their reasons.

I'm a black girl and dating a white guy is my dream so we all have our choices.

a lot of black girls will be quiet about liking white men for fear of being called traitors by other black women.

i am not black but I can definitely see black women suffering from more racism in a relationship with a white man than the other way round.

and there is also the thing that you are mainly attracted to ppl of your race/that look like you/look like one of your parents which I think is definitely a thing as well for certain people

It's not racist to not be attracted to someone. But it is racist to mock someone solely because they married a 'white' or 'black' person

Well I'm not sure where you're based or what sort of circles you mix in, but I find that there's no shortage of Black woman - White male couples in London (at least the mixed areas of London). It's also not just an age thing... I see them of young, middle-aged and elderly lol. Granted, it's not on the same numbers of the as Black guy- White woman, but not unheard of either... and definitely more these days than a few years ago.

Also, for people (in general), the higher up the professional /educational ladder you go, the more likely they are to consider dating outside their race

Really? Again go back several years, and I would probably have agreed with this... but many celebrities like Rihanna, Beyoncé etc. have a universal sex appeal, and I know several White / Asian guys who have openly said that these kind of people have changed their perception of black women.

Although, with some of the (racist?) comments on this board, I can definitely see how / why you would think this. And TBF, there are some black women who exclusively date white men... and they can be just as hostile (if not more-so) to black males as their male counterparts.

You say that, but I've noticed on this board, whenever there's a white girl who states she has a preference for black guys, she's often sl*t-shamed and subjected to a lot of stupid comments (e.g. BBC, and I'm not talking about the British Broadcasting Co-operation... or how she'll end up a single mother). However, when a black or Asian girl expresses a preference for white guys, there's a lot more love / support for them. There are also a lot more derogatory names for white girls who like black guys (e.g. Mud-shark, BMW (black man's woman) etc); I'm not aware of any slurs directed at black or Asian women who prefer white guys (apart from the generic "race-traitor" type comments).
