Hi i was just wondering how you are assessed in biology at durham? Ive looked online and can't really find a set answer, is it all exam? and how are they structured? Is it all essay questions? thank you!!
Hi,
For core modules in biology, 60% is exam based and consists in a 2h paper at the end of the year. In this paper, there are 3 parts: short-answer questions and 2 essays. The other 40% are based on a departmental test that you complete in December/January (short answers as well), a report based on a practical and a data analysis test.

I'm more interested in the Biomedical side of the biology, is there a large proportion of evolutionary and zoology in the course?
Hey im a first year and theres only 1 module in 6 that is ecology based first year! Theres alot of biochem and physio stuff.
